| Description |
English: On my first visit to Cornwall since 2001, we visited Mullion Cove. We spent a very pleasant few hours sat on a hillside overlooking the cove patiently waiting for our son and his partner to come over the hill following their trek along the coast path with our 3 dogs. Having finished our Cornish Ice Cream I started taking pictures when a pair of these little brown jobs caught my eye. At first I thought they were sparrows but their behaviour didn't fit the bill so I waited to see if I could get some good pictures. They were definitely a breeding pair looking for material to build a nest and they happily flittered around the cove for all the time we were there. Thankfully they did eventually come closer and I thought I would share my good fortune with you. It did take some time to identify them via Google but it was worth as I had never heard of them before. Not especially beautiful but wonderfully swift and elegant in flight. |
