Amigas del Sol (ADS)

Unión Victoria’s Amigas del Sol in 2011. Katherine Bittner (back row, blue shirt) formerly of the Central American Solar Energy Project (CASEP) says, “Traditionally, the Mayan people do have a special relationship with the natural world…women that I spoke with or observed personally were skeptical at first that the solar oven could cook food just by the sun's rays, and were surprised and thoroughly impressed to see it working with their own eyes.”
