Description
Deutsch: Der New Yorker Künstler Tom Otterness schuf eine acht Meter hohe Skulptur auf der Büchereigasse. Diese weibliche Figur, genannt die "Überfrau", hat er in eine gerüstähnliche Form aus Edelstahl gebracht. Sie erscheint durchsichtig. In ihrem Inneren findet sich nur eine Andeutung eines bronzenen Kreislaufsystems. Die "Überfrau" nimmt Ansätze traditioneller Ikonographie auf - die weibliche Figur als Personifikation der Weisheit und Freiheit. Kleine in Bronze gegossene Figuren bewegen sich fleißig um die Skulptur.
