| Description |
English: Muddy track, Knighton Wood Knighton Wood lies on a plateau of Upper Chalk and is largely ash and pedunculate oak with a shrub layer of hazel and scattered field maple. It is partly ancient in origin and much has been previously coppiced. Dogs mercury Mercurialis perennis is a major component of the ground flora which also includes many plants strongly associated with ancient woodland. |
