English: Lough Leane and Macgillycuddy's Reeks from near Muckross, 1955' Long before the N71 Ring of Kerry road was built, I walked - on a n unusually fine day - from Killarney to Muckross Abbey. This was the scene not far from Muckross [precise location slightly uncertain], westward over Castlelough Bay and Lough Leane to Tomies Mt.(2,413 ft.) and Purple Mt. (2,739 ft.). What a view! |
