To the honoured memory of the gallant men of Much Marcle and Yatton who died in the service of their country in the Great War 1914 – 1918 This memorial was erected by their fellow parishioners

The men were very good unto us, and we were not hurt. They were a wall unto us both day and by night 1 Samuel 25,15,16.
