English: Portrait of Elizabeth Penfold Berrien (1819-1850), daughter of Cornelius and Elizabeth (Morris) Berrien, members of a family that settled in Flatbush and Newtown, Long Island, around 1669. In 1844 she married Adam H. Todd, head of the dry goods firm of Todd, Cook and Waldo at 18 Murray Street, New York.
