Description
English: Vallican is a word used to describe Hispanics mainly Mexicans who live and or from the valley ( Harlingen Texas ).

History ; Mr Fidel Garza was born on August 30th , 1673 . He lived in the south part of Texas which back then was called " Lon Hill , " now known as " Harlingen ". Mr Fidel Garza who was born August 30th, 1673 an orchestra and mariachi conductor and played very well. Mr Garza was a Mexican born in Lon Hill and he wanted a word to use to describe him and others like him, so he created the word " Vallican " . Back then his word was a hit . Everyone was describing themselves as " Vallican ". Mr Fidel Garza got the idea of the word Vallican by combining valley and Mexican. The word Vallican isn't offensive and was never intended to. Mr Fidel Garza was famous and became wealthy with his music career. He lived well. As he grew older he had two children and a wife. He became a teacher , he taught kids Mariachi and orchestra. He died in 1718. Although we don't use the term Vallican, we are trying to revive the word in his honor.

Modern Day use : The word Vallican can used to describe " Cuhs " or " Latinas " in the 956 valley ( Harlingen Texas) . 1 : Hey are you a Vallican? 2 : Yes , are you ?

1 : yeah I'm a Vallican too.
