Summary: Image of Mr. A. H. O. (August Herman Olson) Rolle, seated in a chair in front of wooden exhibit cases in a museum building, probably the Smithsonian "Castle." Rolle, an American impressionist landscape painter, was a forestry expert working with the Bureau of the Census from 1900-1941. He attended the Corcoran School of Art from 1905-1915 and was a founding member of the Landscape Club of Washington, D.C.
