Português: Mpu. Carapuça feita de fibra vegetal usada como símbolo de poder. Quanto mais alongada sua forma, mais poderoso aquele que tinha o privilégio do seu uso. As mais curtas, como a aqui apresentada, eram usadas pelos chamados "senhores da terra" ou chefes locais. Cabinda, século XIX. Doação de Francisco Teixeira de Miranda. Acervo de etnologia africana e afro-brasileira do Museu Nacional/UFRJ - Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
