Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Moy Bridge The last remaining original cast iron twin leaf swing bridge on Thomas Telford's Caledonian Canal. Built in Wales, it was transported here via Chester and Corpach before being assembled on site in 1822, ready for the opening of the canal. Each half is opened and closed by hand crank from its own side of the canal - so the bridge keeper has to cross by boat every time the bridge is opened or closed.
