Description
English: Two models of old mowers on display at The Henry Ford museum, Michigan, USA. – Mower designs changed greatly between 1855 (back) and 1875 (front), the dates of these two models of patented machines. Two drive wheels replaced the single one, the gearing became enclosed, and a "floating" cutter bar replaced the rigid one, so it could be raised up over obstructions or folded upright when not in use.
