Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A schematic showing the wind direction at day and at night on mountains. The direction changes as, during daytime, the mountain heats up more rapidly than the valley, while at night, the valley keeps its heat longer than the mountain. The image was hand drawn based on an image in the book "Wereldwijzer" by Marshall Cavendish, aswell as the image at http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/68/62668-004-8B29BAC5.gif

If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Mountain wind.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
