Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Mount Bouie Probably a corruption of Monadh Buidhe, this is a bump on a ridge running to Craigiemeg Hill. The word "Mount" crops up a lot in the east, especially in the name for the rolling moorland hills "Mounth". This is one of the few areas where it can be applied to a hill name in Britain without looking foolish - like the clowns in the media with their beloved Mount Snowdon.

"Mounts" are nearly all smooth gentle lumps with little or none mountaineering interest.

The fence has paling inserted at regular intervals to stop the grouse flying into it.
