| Description |
English: This picture of the mouth of a mosquito was taken with a microscope with 4X objective lens magnification. This picture does not show the proboscis (needle) of the mosquito, rather the mouth, which is where blood enters the mosquito. There are a total of six mouthparts, all of which are adapted to sucking blood. This picture was taken with a 4X objective lens on a microscope with a USB camera. The resolution is 4096*3286 pixels. No other adjustments were made. |
