Summary
[edit]DescriptionMoscow Hammond Slides 98. Kolomenskoe and Nagatino.jpg |
English: These images were taken by Thomas T. Hammond during his trip to the Soviet Union. This specific image features the grounds and the church of the Ascension of Kolomenskoe. // The year 1964 is incorrect. The area around Kolomenskoe was incorporated into the City of Moscow only in 1960, and by 1964 was still rural or suburban. Here, one can see rows of white 12-storey buildings in Nagatino that were build from around 1968 into early 1970s, so quite likely the photo was taken during Hammond's 1972 tour. |
