Explication de la mosaïque : 1) Endymion, un berger d'une grande beauté, dort auprès d'un rocher et Séléné, la Lune, le regarde avec admiration. 2) Polyphème, un des Cyclopes qui forgent les éclairs de Zeus, joue de la lyre pour séduire la nymphe Galatée dont il est tombé amoureux. 3) Dionysos ivre, appuyé sur l'épaule d'un Satyre qui lui dévoile Ariane réveillée en sursaut. 4) Aréthuse repoussant Alphée. |
