From 1881 to 1883 he was associatedwith Dr. Henry Wurtz in his second sanitarychemical investigation of the Passaic Riverwater, made for the city of Paterson, N. J.A detailed smnmary of the work was pub-lished in the Engineering and Mining Jour-nal of April 26, ^890.
