As I said before, this is one of the most deserted parts of the country I have ever visited. In fact, in the hour or so long drive through the Welsh mountains, I saw no life whatsoever except for a flock of sheep and a bird of prey. But it was beautiful, far more beautiful than I managed to capture on my camera. I was so high up that there was ice and frost on the ground, and whereas the temperature at sea level measured around 10 degrees, up here it was -1. Seriously, it was freezing. I took most of the images in this place with my Hasselblad, using some Ilford Pan50 and some Provia 100F. I am hoping that those images captured the rawness of this place, as Im not sure the digital ones really did. Oh and this one is not an HDR. It is pretty much out of the camera, though I did increase contrast and clarity a little |
