| Description |
English: (1 in a multiple picture set) One of the striking features of the Morey Mansion is the three-tiered entrance. The balcony above the front door is for the main bedroom. From that room or the balcony, the owners could look out over Redlands and the Yucaipa Valley. In their day, most of that land was planted as farms and orchards. In a different light, this house might be a picture of a 'haunted house,' for some dark movie. (Actually, some claim that the house does contain spirits. Sarah is said to have died there in a bad way, and David moved out, killing himself shortly thereafter.) |
