Summary

[edit]
Description

Crater Lake. The water is so deep blue. This, due to the angle of light, clarity of water and depth of the lake. It's said to be the deepest lake in USA.

A few thousand years ago, a large volcano named Mount Mazama erupted and then collapsed leaving a large crater into the deep caldera. Native Americans were around at the time and there are oral legends of the eruption. Kind of like Mount Saint Helens, but on a larger scale.
