Description
English: The cast of Moratiwa:

I have always had a dream/wish to write a musical. I did not know what the musical should be about. Then it came to mind the topics of rituals, child and women abuse. These I sensitive topics that affect us on our daily lives. I then realised that for this Musical to make a strong impact I would have to involve the youth in this production. It only made sense that I get everyone from breath of Botswana to be part of this musical which is the youth as they are still vibrant and energetic and also so that we can get the best untapped/raw talent. The idea was to bring all our tribes in Botswana together in music and dance. To ensure that each tribe gets represented and has I say in these issues that affect us all. That’s how Moratiwa the Musical was birthed (Socca Moruakgomo)

The auditions were done all around the country. In these auditions we selected the best from the rest the final cast was selected. The cast had to camp in Mochudi for 8months at Media Centre.

During this camp we had rehearsals for dancing and singing and familiarizing ourselves with the script before we set the Musical in motion. The outcome of the camp is a beautiful show/musical called Moratiwa the Musical.
