En la base del monumento a Cristobal Colón se encuentran cuatro esculturas sedentes de los primeros misioneros del continente americano: Fray Antonio de Marchena, Fray Pedro de Gante, Fray Diego de Ordaz y Fray Bartolomé de las Casas.
