Description
English: The monument to the teacher in Cartagena (Spain). Using three bronze statues, a teacher is shown giving a lesson to two students, a boy and a girl. The girl holds an optical microscope, while the boy manipulates an armillary sphere.
The work was created by the sculptor José Sánchez Lozano in 1966, and since 1968 it has been exhibited in Parque de Alfonso Torres.
Español: El monumento al maestro de Cartagena (España). Mediante tres estatuas de bronce se muestra a un profesor impartiendo una lección a dos estudiantes, un chico y una chica. La chica sostiene un microscopio óptico, mientras que el chico manipula una esfera armilar.
La obra fue creada por el escultor José Sánchez Lozano en 1966, y desde 1968 se expone en el parque de Alfonso Torres.
