Description
Español: Busto en bronce de Carlos Larios, marqués de Guadiaro, en el monumento al marqués de Guadiaro, en el Parque de Málaga, Málaga, España. El monumento es obra del escultor Mateu Fernández de Soto del año 1907. Consta de un busto en bronce del homenajeado, Carlos Larios (1816-1896), marqués de Guadiaro, colocado sobre un pedestal de mármol blanco que presenta dos relieves a ambos lados simbolizando el comercio y la industria; en la parte posterior del pedestal, un escudo de armas bajo una inscripción que dice: «A / la / memoria del ilustre / patricio y bienhechor / D. Carlos Larios / y Martínez / marqués de Guadiaro»; todo ello sobre un basamento almohadillado frente al que se sitúa una pequeña escalinata que originalmente servía de cascada de una fuente. Sobre esta escalinata ascendía la figura de una mujer desnuda en actitud oferente, eliminada tras de la guerra civil.[1]
