Description

This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 75001881.

English: Officially named Border Marker Number One, this granite marker designates the start of the border as it was laid along the 49th parallel, marking the division between the United States and Canada.

This small park has few visitors. Access to the park is from Point Roberts, WA, an exclave of the USA. Point Roberts a 5 square mile community at the tip of the Tsawwassen peninsula that is cut off from the U.S. mainland by geography and the border.
