Deutsch: Beschriftung beim Denkmal im Nationalpark Desembarco del Granma zu Ehren der Opfer der Granma-Expedition.
English: Lettering at the Monument in the Desembarco del Granma National Park in honor of the victims of the Granma expedition.“¡Aquí no se rinde nadie, cojones !” (“Here no one gives himself up, dammit!”) The place was a sugar cane field where they were attacked by surprise. These words were supposedly said by Camilo Cienfuegos and repeated by Juan Almeida as the survivors retreated.*
Français : Plaque au dos du monument aux morts portant les noms des révolutionnaires tombés au combat suite au débarquement du Granma de décembre 1956. Cette plaque dit : “¡Aquí no se rinde nadie, cojones !” (“Ici, personne ne se rend, bordel !”) L'endroit était un champ de canne à sucre où les révolutionnaires se sont fait surprendre.
