English: Spc. Chris Anderson shows his prosthetic and "little stub" to fellow soldiers from the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Jan. 11, at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Anderson, who lost his leg to an improvised explosive device in July, planned a trip to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., to surprise the men from Company B, 4-23 Inf. Anderson, however, was surprised to find the men waiting for him at the airport for a Welcome Home ceremony his wife, Spc. Jasmine Anderson, also with 2-2 SBCT, arraigned with the help of local Seattle news station, KOMO 4 News; the USO; and the non-profit organization The Unfinished Mission. |
