Description
English: The former Montgomery Ward store on Dock Street in Bellingham, WA. Built in 1930-31 by Thomas P. Luther replacing the south half of the 1903 Irving Block, the northern half of which was given a new façade around the same time. Local architect F. Stanley Piper was responsible for the art deco façade. Ward's was gone by 1953 after which the neighboring J.J. Newberry's expanded into the building, doubling their space.
