| Description |
Français : Char anglais MARK IV à Montbrehain. Il s'agit du char portant le numéro de série 2397, visible à l'arrière, assigné lors de sa fabrication à l'usine Fosters. Le nom attribué à ce char par son équipage est Lurcher, visible à l'avant. Ce char fut touché par des tirs allemands le 5 octobre 1918 lors se la Bataille de Montbrehain des 3, 4 et 5 octobre 1918. Offert par les Anglais à la commune, il a servi de terrain de jeu aux enfants du village. Les Allemands l'ont démonté en 1942. La description «Tank allemand» imprimée sur la carte postale est une erreur de son éditeur. |
