Description
English: Anno Dom. 1571. at Antwerp, the wife of one Michael a Printer dwelling with one John Molline a Graver or Carver, at fign of the Golden Foot, in the Camiftrate, on St. Thomas his daie, at ten of the clock in the morning, brought forth a monfter wholly like a dog, but that it had a fhorter neck, and the head of a bird, but without anie fethers on it. This monfter was not alive, for that the mother was delivered before her time; but fhee giveing a great fcritch in the inftant of her deliverance, the chimnie of the houf fell down, yet hurt no bodie, no not fo much as anie one of four little children that fate by the fire-fide.
