Description
Français : Aperçu agglomération montcellienne, Saône et Loire, tournant XXIe s. Constituant le pôle méridional de la Communauté Urbaine Creusot-Montceau (CUCM), cet ensemble industrialo-urbain rassemble plus de 45 000 hab. sur un total de 95 000.

Deux sites d’activité majeurs ayant marqué d’une forte empreinte le paysage, ont depuis été démantelés: le lavoir à charbon des Chavannes, puis la centrale de Lucy.

Un temps menacée l’usine Michelin de Blanzy, qui emploie plus de 1 100 salariés, continue sa route en se recentrant sur les pneus engins génie civil, après l’abandon des gammes tourisme. L’histoire ne dit pas si Konecranes, ex-PPM (Potain-Poclain Manutention) et Terex, implanté à l’opposé de l’agglomération dans la Z.I. La Saule de Saint-Vallier et connu pour ses grues mobiles dont les stackers porte-conteneurs, est client...
