English: Monkeyflowers by the Oxford Canal, Warwickshire The towpath is in such good condition here that it surely was restored in very recent years. The evenly spread clumps of yellow monkeyflowers would suggest deliberate introduction, though these alien plants (brought in from North America in 1826) now grow wild by many lakes, rivers, canals and streams. |
