Summary
[edit]DescriptionMonasterio de Santa María de Mave 001.jpg |
English: Church of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Mave (Palencia, Castile-Leon, Spain).
It is a romanesque church at the beginning of the transition, built between the years 1200 and 1208. In one of the blocks of hastial there is an inscription, with the date of 1200, in years of this era. There are three naves of three tranches each cruise, not pointed out in plant and triple header of semicircular apses preceded by tranche presbyterial straight. The most striking is the presence of vaults of canyon pointed perpendicular to the axis of normal temple, both in the ends of the cruise as in the first two tranches of the ship south. The style denotes a great influence burgundy, in its original structure of ships side with vaults of canyon of axis normal at the temple, which was introduced by the cistercians. It is very similar to the church of Neris (Allier).Español: Iglesia del Monasterio de Santa María de Mave (Palencia, Castilla-León, España).
