English: Court seal of Mombach in 1741. The seal follows elder motives, but is decorarted typically according to baroque style. Saint Nicholas, the patron of the local church, erected in 1703, is presented in context of the legend with the 3 scholars brined in a cask.
Deutsch: Gerichts-Insiegel Mombach von 1741. Das Siegel lehnt sich an ältere Vorbilder an, ist aber typisch barock ausgeschmückt. Es zeigt St. Nikolaus von Myra, den Patron der 1703 erbauten Pfarrkirche, mit seinem Bischofsstab über den Wolken schwebend. Dem Bischof werden drei Knaben in einem Pökelfass als Attribut zugeordnet, die der Heilige der Legende nach zum Leben wieder erweckt hat. |
