Summary

[edit]
Description The Mojave National Preserve is 1.6 million acres. Unfortunately, much of this land is little more than wasteland, unlike the area in the photo. Its status as a national preserve means that even a small portion of the wasteland area cannot be used as landfill. The entire Southwest United States is in need of landfill space. This is a case in which conservation has gone too far. The result will be far more sensitive and inhabited areas will be used as landfill.
