For weakly girls, or those suffering fromtemporary and periodic indisposition, the movementsmust be modified or curtailed. All distress, pain orexhaustion, must be avoided. In taking the deep inspir-ations draw the breath in slowly through the mouth,keeping it nearly closed. Fill the lungs full, hold thebreath an instant, and let it escape with a spurt. Somewriters advise drawing in the breath at such timesthrough a quill, but that is unnecessary.
