Title
Modern Toy Soldier or Cowboy fragment
Description
English: Lead alloy toy soldier fragment. Hollow-cast head from a naturalistically modelled horse at a scale of 1:32 or 54mm. The horse is bridled and has separately modelled ears. The scale, style and this detail together suggest a Britains product of the period c.1920-1960. An especially animated face might make this a mount for a cowboy rather than a soldier, as the latter were traditionally presented in somewhat stiff and formal poses. Suggested date: Modern, 1920-1960.

Length: 25.4mm, Width: 26.2mm, Thickness (wall of casting): 0.7mm, Weight: 3.27gms
