Title
Modern Toy Horse
Description
English: Lead Alloy Toy Horse fragment. Hollow cast model of a horse approaching 1:72 or 20mm scale. Naturalistically modelled horse in dramatic motion with a large and irregular saddlecloth and bridle gear modelled. It is unclear whether a separate rider was modelled - the mane leaves little room for a rider and has not been bent by the imposition of one; if so it would perhaps be an irregular cavalryman or an American Indian. More recent metal miniatures made at this scale are solid cast. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1950.

Length: 30.6mm, Height: 21.3mm, Thickness (body wall): 1.4mm, Weight: 6.96gms.
