Title
Modern Toy Farm Animal
Description
English: Lead alloy toy. Solid cast naturalistically modelled toy sheepdog, at a scale of 1:32 or 54mm, with finely depicted surface detail and visible mould lines. Three lower legs are lost. The metal retains a grey tint, suggesting this to be of recent date. This probably accompanied a toy farm set. William Britains introduced their perennially popular toy farm set in 1923, though, as a solid figurine, this was probably made by one of the firm's rivals, or as a novelty. Suggested date: Modern, 1925-1960.

Height: 24.2mm, Length: 37.7mm, Thickness: 10.4mm, Weight: 25.21gms
