Title
Modern Toy Dog
Description
English: Lead alloy toy. Solid cast naturalistically modelled figure at a scale of c;: 1:32 or 54mm probably representing a seated retriever or gun dog with collar. The surface texture is detailed to the point of depicting the hairs of the coat. The lower forelegs are lost. Patinated. The use of a solid cast figure tends to rule out the larger toymakers, so this may be a novelty item, or perhaps from a set of toy farm animals. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1940.

Height: 30mm, Thickness: 13.3mm, Weight: 19.25gms
