Summary

[edit]
Description A model of the Canadian Parliament buildings from the 1800s, seen here displayed at the upper level of the Bytown Museum. We visited the Parliament buildings the following day. The library block with it's conical shape can be seen clearly here. Now where are the Parliament buildings in relation to the Rideau Canal? A model of the Canal itself can be seen right at the bottom (that diagonal thick grey line with those white borders- you can even see the many locks). The Bytown Museum/ Commissariat Building we are in now can be seen just above the canal at the bottom of this picture. (Ottawa, Canada, June 2015)
