Summary

[edit]
Description One of the models in the Aviation exhibit in the St. John's airport was this one. This aircraft is the Consolidated B24 Liberator. Though the info panel is self explanatory in full screen mode, I might briefly state that this was a bomber, and with over 18,000 built, was probably the most numerous of the World War 2 era bombers built for the UA Air Force. With it's superior capabilities, these aircraft helped turn the tide against the formidable and notorious German U-boats during the war. (St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, June 2015)
