한국어: 태양의 집은 서울 신길동의 대로변 모퉁이에 위치한 지하1층, 지상3층의 철근콘크리트 구조의 쇼핑센터 건물이다. 건물의 각 면은 서로 다른 형태를 지니며 '증식하는 원'의 원형 모티프, 노출 계단, 램프(ramp) 등 다양한 건축언어가 도입되었다. 김중업은 사람들이 부담 없이 들어가 구경할 수 있는 건물을 원했다고 말했다. 현재에도 '썬프라자'라는 이름의 상가로 사용되고 있다.
English: Sun Plaza Department Store is a shopping center located at the corner of the boulevard in Singil-dong, Seoul. It is a reinforced concrete building with one basement level and three ground levels. Each side of the building has a different shape and introduces Kim's various architectural languages such as his major motif called 'proliferous circle', exposed stairs, and ramps. Kim said he wanted a building where people would feel free to enter and look around. It is still used as a shopping center named 'Sun Plaza'.
