Description The diversion dam (right) and headgates (left) for the Model Ditch (also called Model Intake Canal) in Las Animas County, Colorado. The ditch takes water from the Purgatoire River. The structures are located in El Moro, Colorado. Model refers to the community of Model, Colorado, where the ditch company's reservoir (now breached) used to be located.
