English: Moat Croft Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex The Counting House Restaurant (just out of sight) was probably once the Moot Court for the Parish. A croft is a field, so this road was built on the field adjacent to the court. The road name is therefore a corruption of Moot Croft. |
