Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Statue of Moises from Michelangelo. Terracotta. Purchase 1850. Louvre museum (Paris, France). Reduction of one of the statues of the tomb of Pope Julius II in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. The inscription A DI 4 / Ottobre / 1519 MBF, intended to pass this terra cotta for an autograph sketch, seems to have been engraved after cooking transforming a copy (eighteenth century?) into a fraudulent object.
Français : Statue de Moïse d'après Michel-Ange. Terre cuite. Achat 1850.
