Maacki aufgeführte Pflanze meinen) mit einer »Capsula usquead basin fere 4paitita« (was ein offenbar übertriebener Ausdruck ist, da auch derE. latifolia eine solche Kapsel zugeschrieben wird). Ich sah gleich C. KochBlume sehe Originale sowie noch andere in Japan gesammelte Fruchtexemplare.Leider hat schon Miguel den ersten Anstoß zu irrigen Auffassungen gegeben, indemer die Blume sehe. Spezies gänzlich verkannte und (1866 in Ann. Mus. Lugd.-Bat.2. 86) mit E. europaea vereinigen wollte. Hiergegen hat schon C. Koch Ver-wahrung eingelegt, trotzdem vereinigte später (1881 in Bull. Ac. Pet. 2J. 451, Mel.biol. II. 191) Maximowicz unter E. europaea Hamiltoniana eine Fülle ver-schiedener Formen, darunter auch E. Sieboldian*, und Dippel (iQc)2 Laubholzk. 2.487) stellte E. Sieboldiana einfach als Synonym zu E. Hamiltoniana. Endlichhatten Rehder (\<^ot, in Sarg. Trees a. Shrubs 3. 123 und 213, t62) und C. K. Schneider io6 E. Koehne: 1910.
