erlei Winterschutz erhalten
und trotzdem unter den obwaltenden günstigen Verhältnissen sich hier trefflich ent-
wickeln. Mit dem größten Interesse wurden alle die Seltenheiten, auch an besonders
schönen Stauden, durchmustert und mancher hätte wohl gerne, oft schwer zu er-
langende Pflanzen, sein eigen genannt. Wir können Herrn Herzfeld zu den treff-
lichen Erfolgen nur beglückwünschen, er hat viel Schönes zusammengebracht, wird
in seinen Bestrebungen fortfahren und sicher noch viele Freude an seinen Pfleglingen
erleben, selbst wenn harte Winter hier und da Verluste bringen sollten. Von der Terrasse der Villa genießt man weite, herrliche Ausblicke in die
Umgegend und nun lud Herr Baurat Herzfeld die Dendrologen zu einem Imbiß
ein, mit Wein aus eigenem Gewächs und einer köstlichen Bowle, die trefflich
mundete und von zwei Söhnen des Besitzers in liebenswürdigster Weise kredenzt
wurde, während die Frau des Hauses und Fräulein Tochter alle begrüßten.

Graf V. Schwerin dankte für alle erwiesene Güte und Gastfreundschaft, die allen in
