[edit]DescriptionMitsubishi Galant Grunder facelift.jpg |
English: Place: Taichung
The ninth generation Mitsubishi Galant had its North American debut in October 2003. Taiwan got a version named Galant Grunder, produced by CMC Mitsubishi from December 2004 with a completely restyled front and rear end, featuring less angular headlamps and taillights. Australia also got a unique version from 2005, marketed as Mitsubishi 380, with a rear end similar to the North American version, but with different headlams. The Taiwanese Galant Grunder was also produced in mainland China from 2006 by the Soueast Mitsubishi joint venture. The Grunder later received a facelift, when the trademark Mitsubishi split grille was replaced by a conventional one. Like possibly anywhere in the world, the Galant (Grunder) couldn't meet sales expectations, even though it was chosen as the national police car, replacing the poor-selling GM Daewoo-sourced Formosa Magnus. |
